Okaze. Ah, what a beautiful day it was! Silver-coated boy was happily making paw-prints in the grass with heavy paws, chasing his own long tail on occasion. It was good to be alive...ish. But it did hurt... the injuries, one on his leg, was still there, almost healed but still somewhat painful. The other, a gash on his face leading to his skull, his death wound, was admittedly painful but he could care less at the moment. Boy was happy to be back, and his first plan was to impress his lovely doe of a mate. And there she was! Damn... I must've been gone a while, cause look at her fur... She's almost as white as I am. Boy shakes it off and moves over closer, giving a chirp to announce his being there. "Feros! Faee~" He'd trot over, completely unaware so far...
Feros. Fae would gaze at the sky with useless oculars, smile plastered to the bitch's face as she thought about last night. Last night was fun. However, joy was short lived. capitulum and oculars still set in that same position, deep growl would rip through the light breeze as agression set in. "What do you want?" Fae would say, deep, polyphonic voice carried with the wind as she still gazed at the sky. It was Okaze. Warm breeze would change to cold gust as anger flared. Such a fallacy it was, and perfectly timed aswell. Still averted to sky, fae would speak yet again. "You should have learnt by now that exiles are banished from the territory, and shall be killed on sight." Silence engulfed the pair, faded obsidian follicles thrashing wildly as gust threatened to steal them from her pelt.
Okaze's mood was ruined as he got the 'lecture' in response. Instantly lips curled back, and that feiry tail flicked to the side. "Oh, so those who die are exiled eh? Funny, how that works." Someone had a tone now. With a dark rumble, he'd slowly circle around her. "I might as well leave. Seems me dying only gave you more reason to go and fuck someone else." He could scent her 'man's' stench all over her. With tail high and fur bristling under the soft aura of fire, he'd continue his looping around her slowly, growl ever present. "Wanna kill me? Go ahead and try..." His threat was paired with a darker tone then ever heard before, and the sound of rustling feathers as faint as a breeze to the ears...
Feros. Bitch's ears turned flat on capitulum as fae head the harsh and angry tone he belayed. "Leave? You wouldn't have anywhere to go, no purpose to fulfill." Oculars would become slits as fae felt his padding. Hmm... Was the only thought flowing through her head at the time. "Kill you? HAH! I don't have to, foregone!" Fae would emit. Deep boom of a demon's polyphone as she spoke. "That's right. I know all about you, poor Okaze. He who sinned must suffer the consequences, yours. of course, being more physical. I'd like to see you try to lay a finger on me. You're just too damn scared." Fae would add. "You're too scared... Because you know that if you hurt me, you'll suffer worse. I mated with Kiano because I lost hope in your return. My days of daydreaming of hearing that sad howl of yours, thereafter seeing you appear in front of me, faded long after you disappeared. Hell, I'd have fucking stopped you if I knew you were going to die." Slight upset came through the anger in her tone as she remembered those cruel days of waiting, those terrible sleepless nights. "You just... Vanished on me..." Capitulum would tilt downwards as would-be pupils gazed to the floor, a single, miniscule tear dropping from fae's left ocular as she relived the moments in her mind.
Okaze's ears were back as she raged out at him, stinging him with her words. When finally she calmed down enough, and finished, he'd growl out a sigh. "Damn it Feros..." Tail sways. "I'm not angry about...wait...did you say Kiano!?" He could barely remember the name, but someone had mentioned it while talking about her family. "Isn't he ralated to you?" Ass plops to the ground, a lack of fear for her even though she still towered over him. Confusion was there, instead of the anger he felt before. He'd get back to the other stuff later...
Feros. Bitch sighed as capitulum lifted once more, 'sight' aimed directly at the male. "Yes. I said Kiano. He is my nephew by gene; but, he's grown a lot older, and he's matured so much since he was lost at sea..." Hesitating slightly, fae would begin to tell the story of Kiano's disappearance. "It was about two years ago. It was stormy weather. Kiano was just two and a half months old when it happened. We were patrolling the river, not far from our home back in Black Forest. Grey had decided it was unsafe to leave Kiano back at the den, so she took him with us. Who would have thought it ended as it did." Pausing again, but this time to breathe, fae continued. "A strong gust meant that Kiani ended up in the water. We couldn't do anything about it, it was just too dangerous to go in there. He was carried away with the current." Small, obsidian tears would drop down from Fae's face as she continued again. "We followed the current the day after. It brought us here. We found no sign of him, but decided to move here afterwards. Having thought we had lost him, we couldn't stay in the home related to that memory." Gust calmed to a light breeze as she paused again, teary-eyed. "Now he has returned. Seeing him in such a perfect state, having thought about the event every day for the past two years... My love for him just... It just..." She stopped. Fae was too upset to speak. Standing and turning to the den entrance, Fae would begin to wander into the mouth of the cave. "Come inside. You look cold, even for a foregone. If you seek here for return, then feel free to stay."
Okaze watched her silently for a few moments as she spoke, golden eyes gleaming with the constant flow of aura around him. When words were finished, and the tale was done, he'd speak. "Feros, I understand that you were afraid he was gone, but think of the pup... you could very well be pregnant with his kid, and think of the problems that could cause..." Standing again, he'd move past her slowly, the fur brushing her own as he passed into the den, tail sweeping behind him. Those paws made little noise as he vanished in the dark entrance only to emerge in the lighter insides. "What were you thinking when it happened? Being related by blood means inbreeding is still there, and that could mean bad things for any pups..."
Feros. Laying down inside the den, Fae would listen to the male with true despair plastered onto the bitch's face. "Okaze..." Fae would pause as she tried to word what she wanted to say. "There's no easy way to say this, but... I am pregnant." Fae would pause again, thinking with a depressed, intoxicated and insomniac mind. ""I was fully aware of the problems that could arise. I did it any way. I just... I wanted to show him that I still loved him..." Gaze to the floor once more, fae would become engulfed in silence, before breaking it just moments after it's embrace began. "... Is there anything more you want to ask?"
Okaze's mind worked around it, and reaction came only as it could. "Damn it Feros, you love him, sure! But really? Like that!?" His snarl was loud, almost deadly in tone. "Don't be so damn blunt all the time! You don't have to mate to show you love someone!" Ears back, tail high and well, what was left of his heart was heavy.. Guy had come back hoping to go back to her, and not have to worry. But instead, she was going on about how she loved her damned nephew... "Tell me. Tell me something. Did you ever even -think- before doing that? Think maybe, just maybe, that you can love your family in a different way you love a mate!?" Lips were curled back and the sound of feathers rustling was heard once more.
Feros. Agressive atmosphere clicked on as the male reacted diskindly towards fae's words. "I knew you'd be like this if I told you." Sigh would emit as fae prepared for linguistic combat with the dead male. "You just don't see, do you? You were dead, I could hardly expect you to come springing back to life now, could I?!" Lips curled back, dominant stance as she had already stood up. "You were stupid to have left. Damn, I don't even know why you left in the first place! So tell me, why? Why the fuck did you abandon us, Okaze?" silence set in before a deep, dominant growl set in from the fae. Impatience was rife in the area as she waited for an answer. "No answer, huh? Well then let me say this. You died, Okaze. I had to live with that fact. I didn't... No... I don't even know how you died, and when Kiano came back, it was like I had part of my life back."
Okaze remained still, tail swaying the only movement. Tone was straight, no crackling of a growl. "I died from the wound the sabers gave me. I was coming back from the hunt, and was left there. I died, yes, and Kiano coming back was your drug." The word 'drug' was dull, like venom. "I don't plan on leaving you and the pack alone. Not with pups known to be on the way." He spoke so calmly, as if trying to keep back his own emotions. "Listen to me Feros. You're running off of the most BASIC of our insticts. You're not a feral wolven! You're one of the most intelligent breeds there is in the cove! Don't you revert to what ferals would do... You can't just sit on the past like that." Lifting his head, and tail lowering, the male took on a very... wise tone for a moment. "If there's one thing I learned from you, it's that the pack comes before anyone else. The future of the pack is what matters the most, but you sit here crying over the death of a single member." Tail sways again and that rustle is heard a final time. "I'm going to be close to the pack. I'm going to make sure this doesn't happen again. Inbreeding is the worst thing that can happen to a pack, because it makes us weak Feros. It makes the future of the pack a mere thought! I've seen it happen before. Don't make this mistake again, because that pup's going to breed, and it'll be generations before there's a healthy whelp to speak of under his bloodline!" Jaws snap a bit at certain words, and finally he's ready to finish. "Promise me you won't linger on the past. You moved from your old lands to get away from the past... don't bring it with you. Be happy he's grown, and that he's healthy... don't push fate..." He shakes his head slowly. "Trust me... you don't want to try their patience."
Feros. Head would tilt slightly after he spoke his words. "I cry because I care, Okaze. These black tears, they are of despair. I am a beast bestowed with the gift of knowledge, and the curse of seeing true despair. That's why I put the pack first, because I know that they will all die, and I know how they will die. You were different, though." Curiosity would set in after fae had finished her pause. "Wait... Where are you going?" Fae would ask; oculars pointing 'gaze' to the male. She knew where he was, even if she couldn't see his colors, it was his aura that gave him away. That yellow aura. He was punished for something. Thinking to herself, but failing to mention, fae would lay down in wait for his answer.
Okaze's paws paused. "I'm leaving for now. I need to think this over..." That cold tone came back suddenly as he turned his head towards her. "Coming back to find your mate is pregnant with her nephew's pups isn't something one takes lightly..." And with that, the male walks out of the den, seeming to ignore any more of her words. He'd stick near but for now, he needed to relax... the pain was getting to him again, and he wasn't going to let it effect his attitude towards her. She's obsessed with making me suffer... damn her... Steps become heavy as he disappears behind some rocks, and finally the sound of fur meeting grass announces his laying down to rest...
Kiano Jaden. Huge Fen seemed to be in a dream like state lately. Ever since he left for the Hunt he felt like everything in his life was going so well it had to be a dream. Fur on his neck seemed to be standing strait up, telling Kiano that something big was coming. From his trials as a pup he learned this sense he had early and used it well enought to survive out there. Maybe this was a warning of some kind? But what would Fen have to worry about? Everything was fine and going well in his life now. Wandering past the waters he made his way back to her. Stopping at the water for a drink he glanced over to where she lay. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw Him. Laying there not to far off from where she was. Sleeping. What is he doing here? Kiano thought. Crossing the water and going over to where she lay he waited.
Okaze's ear flicked at the sound of another moving about and head lifts, eyes obviously been open for a while now. No sound was made yet, but the glazed over glare was enough to tell the younger male things were not cool with the white-and-gray male foregone. Foregones... what a frightening appearance to the average wolf, and amazing to those with no fear. The evident wound on his head was scabbed over and it was clear what he had died from. The twitch in his lip also spoke of a slight... threat, as he lowered his head down to watch the younger boy, tail flicking some. It was a dangerous idea, but the boy was admittedly jealous of the fen, and it wasn't just because he had gotten his aunt pregnant....
Kiano Jaden sat watching the older Fen as he began to wake up and notice Kiano was there. Slowing his breathing down as he sat next to Feros. watching the other Fen, Kiano thought 'Why is he back, he has been gone a long time. And why did she let him back in?' Such thoughts seemed to be swirling in his mind within the last couple minutes. But Kiano knew that there was no threat to where he stands in the pride. Yes he got his aunt Pregnant, but things happen when others are away. Kiano sat there, silent but thoughtful. Thoughts swept his mind and he couldnt tell which way was out. Fen kept his cool and sat silent waiting the time when the other would speak.
Okaze. Nerves were on edge with the old fart of a wolf as he sat up, jaws gaping in a wide yawn. "You best be ready for whatever mutant she births..." Jaws showed off silvery fangs as he spoke, and the half-dead wolf would glance over his shoulder at the boy. Tail, long and fiery, shifts to sweep across the ground, hiding now fidgeting paws. "Didn't think I'd be back? Thought I'd be gone forever?" He stands, turning to face him. "So did I..." Clearly unhappy, and very very pissed off....
Feros. Fae would gaze at the sky with useless oculars, smile plastered to the bitch's face as she thought about last night. Last night was fun.
